Thomas Philbeck

世界経済フォーラムにて第4次産業革命に関する様々なプロジェクトを担当。
世界経済フォーラム以前のキャリアとしては、ニューヨーク工科大学人文科学学部の副学部長を務めた他、ポストヒューマニズムと概念体系(オントロジー)、技術発展と倫理、技術的失業(技術革新から生まれる失業)などの問題に関する学術論文を含め幅広く執筆活動に従事。フロリダ大学にてInterdisciplinary Humanities にて博士号を取得。フランスのHECにてMBAを取得。

PhD in interdisciplinary humanities from Florida State University and an MBA from the Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) de Paris.
Before joining the Forum, he served as assistant dean of the College of Arts and Sciences for the New York Institute of Technology. He is a contributing author to, and the co-editor of, the Handbook of Posthumanism in Film and Television, and has published work on a variety of themes, including posthumanism and ontology, technology and ethics, and technological unemployment. His area of focus is the intersection between technology, society, business and philosophy. Ever the explorer, he has lived in the US, UK, Europe, Middle East and India, working in various sectors.
The World Economic Forum is the international organization for public-private cooperation, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. Established in 1971, its mission is to improve the state of the world.
